St. Gerard

This class is designed so that students get a greater understanding of the fundamentals of Pre-Algebra. The purpose of 8th Grade Math is to: review computation, simplify and evaluate expressions, solve equations and inequalities, determine and graph functions, solve and graph linear equation, solve and graph systems of linear equations and inequalities, develop and apply problem-solving skills, use scientific and graphing calculators to explore algebra concepts, and prepare students for future math courses. Upon successful completion of this class, students are typically recommended for Adaptive Algebra I, Algebra I or Honors Algebra I at LCHS.
